Le célèbre accordéoniste de concert Vyatcheslav Semionov a reçu la prestigieuse distinction de "Order of Friendship from President Vladimir Putin" récemment à Moscou. Cette distinction a été remise pour la première fois en 1972 et Vyatcheslav Semionov l’a reçue pour son exceptionnelle contribution à la musique, pour ses concerts, son enseignement et ses compositions.
Toute l’équipe de Accordions Worldwide adresse ses felicitations à Vyatcheslav. Il est très beau et gratifiant pour un accordéoniste d’être honoré pour son travail, surtout par un chef d’Etat.

Art Van Damme donne son assentiment à un nouveau livre ‘Solos d’accordéon Jazz Accordion’ avec CD – USA

 Le nouveau livre " Solos d’accordéon Jazz avec CD", écrit, arrangé et gravé par Gary Dahl vous fait ressentir chaque arrangement de manière à pouvoir apprendre plus facilement et rapidement. Ce livre a reçu l’ assentiment du célèbre accordéoniste de jazz Art Van Damme.
L’auteur Gary Dahl dit: "Ce livre est comme un cours de musique. Il y a de nombreuses re-harmonisations, rythmes et improvisations ajoutées aux versions originales. Si vous voulez apprendre sérieusement à jouer RH et LH utilisé pour les rythmes swing, dixie et jazz, alors ce livre vous aidera.

Concert de l’orchestre d’accordéons UMKC dans le Missouri - USA

L’orchestre d’accordéons UMKC Community Accordion Orchestra annonce son concert de Printemps pour le 12 Juin à 14h00, qui aura lieu au UMKC/White Recital Hall / 4949 Cherry Street, à Kansas City, Missouri. Le concert est ouvert au public avec entrée gratuite.
Le concert, d’une durée d’une heure et demie, comprendra des transcriptions classiques des Polovetsian Dances - ‘Prince Igor’ de Borodin, ‘Abduction’ di ‘The Seraglio Overture’ de Mozart, ‘Dornroschen Waltz’di Tschaikowsky et ‘Granada’ de Lara. Les autres morceaux seront des mélodies de Gershwin, Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway Hits, Show Boat (Jerome Kern) et une nouvelle version de ‘Jalousie’. Le maître de concert Karen Fremar se produira comme soliste.
Ce groupe conduit par le Professeur Hémérite Joan Cochran Sommers est composé de membres de tous ages originaires de Kansas City, Blue Springs, Independence, Smithville et Overland Park et ont été les hôtes de concerts en Italie, Allemagne, Russie et Nouvelle-Zélande
Le concert est une répétition générale du prochain rendez-vous de Dallas à l’ occasion de l’ Accordionist & Teachers Guild 2005 International Festival de la semaine prochaine. Frank Busso Jnr. Nouvel accordéoniste del'United States Air Force - USA

 Frank Busso Junior, de Staten Island, New York, a été choisi comme accordéoniste official de l’ United States Air Force Strolling Strings. L’ Air Force cherchait depuis longtemps à remplacer les différents musiciens du Strolling Strings Music Ensemble, parties à la retraite il y a deux ans. Finalement il ont trouvé la personne juste .
Ce n’est pas évident de trouver cette personne juste pour cet emploi, mais c’est un très bon poste pour la personne choisie...dit le Chief Master Sgt. Jane Bockenek, directeur de la Strollings Strings, qui joue du violon au sein du groupe.
Sgt. Bockenek a visité le American Accordionists' Association Festival de Boston l' année dernière, pour y organiser une audition qui ne donna aucun résultat probant.
Au début le l’année, ce fut le moment propice pour Frank Busso Jun. et l’ Air Force a compris immédiatement avoir trouvé le musicien idéal pour tous les paramètres requis par l’ United States Airforce.A présent Frank aura de nombreuses répétitions avec les 22 autres membres du groupe pour ensuite se produire à l’occasion des cérémonies officielles de la Maison Blanche.
Frank est le fils de Frank Busso Senior, propriétaire de la Staten Island Music School de New York.

South Pacific
Accordion Championships and Festival - New Zealand

The South Pacific Accordion Championships and Festival is the largest
annual accordion event in the Southern Hemisphere. This year, the
festival was at the newly built Raye Freedman Arts Centre at Epsom
Girls’ Grammar School, Auckland City. This is a wonderful
new Centre with first full lighting, excellent acoustics, soundproof
practice areas and food facilities making the event most enjoyable
for performers, audience and organisers.
 The
weekend began on Friday evening with a Wine and Cheese Reception,
followed by the Welcome Concert in the new venue. Guests were the
ASA New South Wales State Accordion Orchestra (Australia), conducted
by Elizabeth Jones. Alexander
Poeluev right (Russia), one of the world’s most exciting
young accordion artistes, then performed and received a standing ovation
for a superb performance from the enthusiastic audience. On
Saturday and Sunday followed the competitions. A most successful competition
event was held and the competitions ended with the Results and Prize-Giving
Concert to a largely full hall.
The finale
of the Festival was the Farewell Dinner on Sunday evening. The South
Pacific Accordion Championship trophies are presented, and the evening
is always a great party with lots of live music and dancing - great
end to the 2005 event.

Lips Accordion Workshop, Imst - Austria

Lips Productions
For
the fifth time the city of Imst (located in Tyrol, near Innsbruck)
will organize workshops for musicians and artistes of different styles
from July 11th to 15th. Participants will have the opportunity to
combine some relaxing days with artistic activity. Accordionists Friedrich
Lips (from the Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow) and Roman Pechmann
(Conservatory of Klagenfurt, Austria) will give solo lessons and teach
chamber music. Friedrich Lips will give also give a recital on Sunday,
July 10th in the City Museum of Imst.

Orosz on Television, Budapest – Hungary

Zoltán Orosz
will appear on the Hungarian TV channel Duna TV, on the 16th
and 17th of June. Duna TV can be viewed in many countries all over
the world, including the USA. The program is a broadcast of the Zoran
concert that was recorded in Hungary's biggest sports hall. Zoltan
was the member of the accompanying band and he also played a solo
piece (Piazzolla's ‘Libertango’).

 Russia’s
Alexander Korbakov is in concert at Stockport Accordion Club on June
14th. The concert begins at 8pm, and the venue is the St John Ambulance
Brigade HQ, Edgeley Road, Cheadle Heath – close to junctions
1 or 2 on the M60.
This concert
is Alexander Korbakov’s second concert at Stockport AC (his previous
appearance was in 1997).
