Aleksandar Kolovski gagne le EMCY Art for Music Prize, Ohrid - Macédoine

L'accordéoniste Aleksandar Kolovski a gagné le prix de musique de l'art d'EMCY à la 6ème compétition internationale pour jeunes musiciens ‘perles d'Ohrid ', tenue du 16 au 20 juin à Ohrid. La compétition a inclus les catégories pour instruments á vent en bois, instrument á vent cuivre et l'accordéon.
Il y avait 87 candidats de plusieurs pays européens : Macédoine, Russie, Serbie, Bulgarie, Ukraine, Croatie, Suisse et Lithuanie.
Au concert de fermeture des premieres places de toutes les disciplines, Aleksandar, declaré par un jury spécial, Kolovski (Macédoine), étudiant d'accordéon du professeur Zorica Karakutovska, premiere place de la catégorie d'accordéon et également vainqueur de l’EMCY Art for Music Prize, un prix spécial de l'union européenne des concours de musique pour les jeunes, pour l'excellente exécution. Au concert de fermeture, le jeune de 17 ans, Aleksandar, a joué le 2eme et 3ème mouvements de la Sonata No.1 par Viatcheslav Semionov.
C'est la deuxième fois qu'Aleksandar a reçu cette récompense. La premiere était il y a de deux ans, en 2005. Cette année lá, Aleksandar a représenté la République de Macédoine aux concerts européens d'EMCY à Belgrade et Novi Sad, Serbie.
En tant que vanqueur de l’EMCY Art for Music Prize de cette année, Aleksandar représentera la République de Macédoine au prochain concours européen de musique pour la jeunesse.
La vie et les oeuvres de Vladislav Zolatariev, Hannovre - Allemagne

Une conférence internationale sera consacré à la vie et aux oeuvres de Vladislav Zolatariev (1942-1975) à l'occasion du soixante-cinquième anniversaire du compositeur à l'université de la musique et du théâtre d’Hannovre, à partir du 19 jusqu'au 20 octobre. Vladislav Zolatariev est identifié comme un fondateur du répertoire avant-garde pour bayan (accordéon de bouton).
Les principaux rechercheurs internationaux Zolatariev et amis du compositeur rapporteront et discuteront le niveau actuel de l'arrangement et des exécutions de son travail. Il y aura également des discussions au sujet des arrangements des oeuvres non publiés de Zolatariev.
La conférence inclura trois concerts, exécutés par des étudiants du professeur Elsbeth Moser, préfacés par des introductions aux oeuvres. La conférence conclura avec une lecture de poésies écrites par le compositeur.
Rédacteur : Il y a un article historique três bon au sujet de Zolatariev intitulé “Two Posters for One Concert” dediés à Zolatariev par le grand artiste Friedrich Lips.
L'accordéoniste Jimmy Cassidy, de Perth, a edité un nouveau CD ‘From Mull to the Moon’, une collection principalement de musique traditionnelle écossaise plus la ‘Dance of the Comedians’, ‘Grenoble' et ‘Waltz for a Magpie’.
Jimmy Cassidy a été plusieurs fois ‘All Scotland Champion’ et sa carrière a impliqué une période en tant que directeur musical du théatre de l'opéra de Sydney en Australie.

‘Lines and waves’ est le titre de la nouvelle composition de 10 minutes pour 5 accordéons, de Peter Machajdik.
Peter Machajdík, d’origine de Bratislava, Slovaquie, a habité en Allemagne pendant les 15 dernières années. Il a eu un intérêt pour la musique occidentale d'avant-garde pendant beaucoup d'années, et a été compositeur résident chez le Schloss Wiepersdorf, Allemagne, chez le Künstlerhäuser Worpswede, Allemagne, et chez le Künstlerhaus Lukas dans Ahrenshoop sur la côte baltique allemande.
Les oeuvres de Machajdík´s ont été interpretés à Vienne, Berlin, Rome, Bratislava, Calgary, Sofia, Belgrade, Kracow, aussi bien qu'à d’autres lieux comme les Pays Bas, en Belgique, au Danemark, en Suisse, au Portugal, en Italie et aux Etats-Unis.
Peter Machajdík a donnês des workshops sur la ‘new’ musique, festivals de musique contemporaine. Sa musique a eu émission beaucoup de fois sur la radio et la TV partout dans le monde.

La plus vieille guinguette de Paris "La Petit Robinson" a été vendu (endroit tres connue en France où tous les accordéonistes les plus prestigieux ont joués: Yvette Horner, André Verchuren.....Les Guinguettes dans les années 1900 étaient un lieu de rencontre où les ouvriers venaient boire et faire la fête au son de l'accordéon).
Philippe Blanchi ancien propriétaire va aller habiter à Québec où il a acheté un Wine Bar.
Avant de partir il a tenu a inviter ses amis dans sa maison en Normandie afin d'épuiser sa cave avant son départ, au menu Homards, foie gras, saumon fumé ....arrosé des meilleurs vins Français!

For the seventh time the city of Imst (located in Tyrol, near Innsbruck) organized a workshop for musicians and artistes of different styles from July 9th to 13th 2007. Participants had the opportunity to combine some relaxing days with artistic activity.
Bayanist/accordionist Friedrich Lips (from the Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow) gave solo lessons to participants giving his view of how to solve musical and technical problems, performance on stage, etc. Lips’ next year’s workshop at ‘Kulturlaub’ will take place from July 7th to 11th or July 14th to 18th 2008.
Silvio Scandalli – a life remembered, Camerano - Italy
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of Silvio Scandalli, the City of Camerano has organised an exhibition in his memory. Event organiser, Sandro Strologo, a noted Scandalli historian has provided many fine examples of the works of the great man, once described as “the Stradivari of the accordion”.
A display of new Scandalli accordions has been provided by the SUONI company. The exhibition was opened officially on 14th July by the Mayor of Camerano and Gervasio Marcosignori, Italy’s most famous accordionist and great friend of Silvio Scandalli. A concert by the Fisorchestra di Castelfidardo was also performed. The exhibition runs until July 28th in Piazza Roma, Camerano.
Massimo Signorini will hold master classes in Florence from July 19th to 23rd.
Massimo Signorini graduated in 2002 with full marks, alternating his diploma studies with lessons from internationally famous teachers such as Stefan Hussong, Hugo Noth, Salvatore di Gesualdo, Joseph Macerollo, Teodoro Anzellotti, Fernando Suarez Paz, Hugo Aisemberg, Richard Galliano and Ivano Battiston.
He has since been awarded a diploma in Jazz and Jazz arrangement, studying under Mauro Grossi at the Pietro Mascagni institute for Music in Livorno. Currently he is Professor of Accordion at the Music Institute ‘P. Mascagni’ in Livorno and holds master classes in Italy, U.S.A and Denmark.
He performs in concerts both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, as well as in orchestral groups in a variety of musical genres (classical, contemporary, Baroque, jazz, Balkan, rock and tango) at venues of national and international. Massimo Signorini has recorded for ETS (Pisa) and for Ut Orpheus (Bologna).
Maestro Salvatore Cauteruccio will hold a master class at Oriolomusica, Oriolo, from July 23rd to 26th, including a solo-concert.
On July 26th you can see and hear him with the Jazztango Quartet (a.sirufo,a.mango,e.campagna) during the Festival Etno Jazz SUONI di Castrovillari (Cs).
The First Cologne-Akkordoen Orchestra 1935 will present a concert of Big Band swing classics on Friday August 31st in the Cologne Philharmonic Hall. The program will demonstrate the versatility of the accordion, and includes guest spots featuring: Hans-Günther Kölz (solo jazz accordionist), Kathrin Gass (solo harmonica), Willy Ketzer Trio (featuring Germany’s number one Big Band drummer), the Cologne dialect group ‘Viererbande’, with Fuhrmann, Kulik, Hoot and Haaser (vocals, guitar, mandolin, accordion).
Dr. William Schimmel, moderator/curator presents: ’Hogus/Bogus - a weekend of questionable, useless and far fetched information’ on July 27th to 29th at The Tenri Cultural Institute of New York, 43A West 13th St, between 5 and 6 Ave.

The annual Pineto Jazz Accordion Festival takes place from July 20th to 22nd. Artistes involved include the Luciano Biondini Group, Renato Borghetti (Brazil), the Sergio Caputo Quintet, Renzo Ruggieri, and the Dixieland Brass Band.
